Ryota Hayashi found Finatext (now Finatext Holdings Ltd.) in December 2013. Today, the company has several subsidiaries, including Finatext, which develops and provides fintech solutions; Nowcast, an alternative data analytics company; Smartplus, a securities platform; and Smartplus SSI, a next-generation digital insurance company. With its mission of “Reinventing Finance as a Service,” the company group works with its partners to promote digital transformation in finance. Before he found Finatext, he worked in institutional sales in London and across the European continent at Deutsche Bank London. He graduated from the University of Tokyo with a degree in Economics and studied Computer Science in the University of Bristol.
