Ryota Hayashi founded Finatext (now Finatext Holdings Ltd.) in December 2013.
Today, the company has several subsidiaries, including Finatext, which develops and provides fintech solutions; Nowcast, an alternative data analytics company; Smartplus, a securities platform; and Smartplus SSI, a next-generation digital insurance company.
With its mission of “Reinventing Finance as a Service,” the company group works with its partners to promote digital transformation in finance and realize embedded finance.
Hayashi started his career in Deutsche Bank London, Global Technology department, later internally transferred to global markets, where he engages with institutional investors in Europe. He graduated from the University of Tokyo with a degree in Economics and studied Computer Science at the University of Bristol.
